Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox born December 25, 1954, Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox went to Lennox's Royal Academy of Music, London in the 70s. She was a harpsichord student and flautist piano over 3 years. She managed to make it on her student stipend while working part time jobs. Lennox was able to make a change in her career path when she was dissatisfied with her inexperience in the same way as other Royal Academy students. Lennox was a flute player with a group called Dragons Playground in 1976. She quit the band before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent show. Between 1977 and 1980, she was vocalist for The Tourists. A British pop group. The band was where she met Dave Stewart and together they created the duo Eurythmics. Lennox was then able to begin work on her solo debut album Diva and it was released in 1992. In both commercial terms and critically, it was an enormous hit. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album by herself was released in October of 2014. The C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs favourite soul jazz and blues tracks from her early years. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four songs that were improvised by piano that Lennox made available in May 2019. The E.P. The E.P. is her first independent album and a companion to the art installation she designed at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art named Now I Let You Go...
